Project Manager - Structural Steel Erection
Seeking a Structural Steel Project Manager who will support the early phases of complex construction projects and help guide them from initial concept to full execution. This role allows someone to build a strong foundation in both the business and field sides of construction while working on challenging, one-of-a-kind projects. Projects are up to 100K tons of structural steel. MUST BE WILLING TO TRAVEL 50%.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist with front-end project planning, including design input, pricing, and cost-saving options
• Help prepare and revise CAD drawings, sketches, and other project documentation
• Work closely with internal leadership, outside designers, customers, and various project partners
• Support all activities needed to move a project smoothly from design through preparation for build
• Participate in hands-on training in the field and fabrication environment to gain a complete understanding of structural work
Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering
• Experience in construction or engineering, ideally with exposure to steel or structural projects
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive, motivated approach
• Flexible and able to work with different personalities and changing project demands
• Able to travel 50% of the time (east of the Mississippi) and live close to a major airport
