Project Architect

Chicago, IL | $80,000–$125,000

An established architecture firm in the Chicago area is seeking an experienced Project Architect to join its team. This position offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of projects while taking an active role in design, project delivery, client coordination, and construction documentation.

Responsibilities

• Manage architectural projects through multiple phases of design and construction
• Develop and coordinate design and construction documents
• Work directly with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal project teams
• Coordinate project schedules, deliverables, and deadlines
• Participate in design development, permitting, bidding, and construction administration
• Review RFIs, submittals, and other construction documentation
• Research building codes, zoning requirements, and accessibility standards
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff
• Maintain quality and accuracy throughout project delivery

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional architecture experience
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture
• Architectural licensure preferred but not required
• Strong proficiency in Revit
• AutoCAD and Bluebeam experience preferred
• Strong construction document experience
• Knowledge of building codes and construction methods
• Experience coordinating directly with clients and consultants
• Strong project management and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: $80,000–$125,000, depending on experience
