Commercial Estimator

 

We are looking for a PM/Estimator experienced in Commercial Millwork projects to accurately management and estimate materials, labor, and other related expenses for high-end Mill- and Casework projects. As the PM/Estimator you will be responsible for collaborating closely with clients, architects, contractors, and various departments to understand project specifications and objectives. Once estimates are approved you will oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of installations, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.

Job Type: Full Time, On-site

Responsibilities for the Commercial Estimator:

  • Analyze architectural and structural drawings, blueprints, and specifications to identify scope work and complexity of the project.
  • Prepare accurate take-offs and material lists from drawings and specifications.
  • Effective communication and attention to detail are essential to ensure the successful completion of projects in a timely manner and satisfied customers every time.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure competitive pricing and timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Collaborate with the designers and sales teams to prepare drawings, proposals and bids for potential projects and approvals.
  • Review project plans and contracts to ensure all requirements are understood and included in the estimate.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of estimates, bids, and contracts. 

 

Requirements of the Commercial Estimator:

  • Minimum 5+ years of Estimating and Project Management experiencewith Commercial construction projects. 
  • Strong knowledge of millwork, building materials, building codes and regulations
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications and do takeoffs.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Estimating and MS Office software.
