Associate Attorney – Labor & Employment Defense - San Diego, CA
A premier law firm in San Diego is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its dynamic Labor & Employment defense team. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience in employment litigation and a strong foundation in State and Federal fair employment laws, wage-hour laws, FMLA, and related regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Take ownership of matters, including attending hearings, drafting motions, and responding to discovery
Represent clients in both state and federal courts
Prepare cases for trial, working independently with minimal guidance
Collaborate with senior attorneys while handling cases from start to finish
Work on a variety of employment-related matters before state and federal agencies and courts
Qualifications:
4+ years of experience as an employment litigator
Strong knowledge of employment laws, including wage-hour laws, FMLA, and fair employment regulations
Ability to independently manage cases and handle client matters
Excellent academic credentials and legal writing skills
Ability to draft and respond to motions and discovery in both federal and state courts
