In-House Associate Attorney (Corporate Transactional Law)

Location: Carlsbad, CA | Full-Time | On-Site

A well-established company based in Carlsbad, CA is seeking an Associate Attorney with 2–4 years of experience to join their in-house legal team. This is a rare opportunity for attorneys looking to transition away from firm life into a dynamic, corporate environment. Candidates with a background in litigation who are interested in moving into transactional work are encouraged to apply—prior transactional experience is not required, but considered a plus. 

Please note: This is a fully in-person role. Only candidates currently residing in the San Diego area will be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review, draft, negotiate, and revise a variety of contracts, including software and licensing agreements

  • Conduct internal legal research and drafting to support business operations

  • Provide legal analysis and writing

  • Offer occasional assistance with litigation matters

  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed

Candidate Requirements:

  • 2–4 years of experience as a licensed attorney in California

  • JD from an ABA-accredited law school

  • Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities independently

  • Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team

  • Experience with contracts management software is preferred
