Professional Land Surveyor (PLS)

A well-established local company is seeking a skilled Professional Land Surveyor to support mapping, surveying, and drone-based data capture projects. This position involves a hybrid schedule, giving the employee the flexibility of working both onsite and remotely.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct drone-based mapping and surveying using UAVs (eBee fixed-wing or similar)
  • Process UAV and LiDAR data, producing orthophotos, 3D models, and point clouds
  • Coordinate field survey work and collaborate with survey crews and stakeholders
  • Validate surveying outputs, including survey drafting and record maps
  • Prepare civil and site documents like lot plans, grading plans, and construction-ready drawings
  • Work closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams to meet project deadlines and delivery standards

Required Qualifications

  • Active Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in Arkansas
  • 5+ years of experience in land surveying, mapping, or survey drafting
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation CAD
  • Hands-on experience processing survey and drone data

Preferred Qualifications

  • FAA Part 107 licensed drone pilot or equivalent UAV surveying experience
  • Familiarity with LiDAR processing and GIS mapping workflows
  • Knowledge of the latest trends in surveying and mapping, such as mobile LiDAR, UAV/UAS workflows, point cloud processing, semantic classification, GIS integration, and OCONUS data collection methods
