A highly respected regional CPA firm based in Oakland, CA is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join its growing team. Due to continued growth and an expanding client base, the firm is looking for a Tax Manager who can bring strong technical tax expertise, leadership skills, and a client-first mindset.

Tax Manager Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of highly motivated tax professionals
• Manage and oversee tax planning and compliance engagements
• Develop and implement effective tax strategies for clients
• Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for clients
• Review complex tax returns and ensure accuracy and compliance
• Work directly with clients to understand their financial goals and provide proactive tax guidance
• Collaborate with partners and other members of the firm on client engagements
• Help identify opportunities to improve processes and deliver exceptional client service

Tax Manager Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 7+ years of public accounting experience
• Extensive tax experience with strong knowledge of tax planning and compliance
• Previous management or leadership experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple client engagements and deadlines
• Client-focused mindset with the ability to build long-term professional relationships

Tax Manager Compensation & Benefits:

• $130,000–$180,000+ base salary, depending on experience
