A well-respected Ag Organization in Northeast Iowa is seeking a Grain Facility Manager to oversee one of its core locations. This leadership role supports the organization’s operational and commercial business goals while prioritizing safety, productivity, and profitability.
Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of facility operations, including staff training, performance, and safety.
Originate grain in line with strategic marketing goals while strengthening customer relationships.
Oversee logistics (truck, rail, barge) and manage operational expenses to achieve budget targets.
Monitor inventory levels, grain grading, quality, and blending opportunities.
Ensure regulatory compliance, housekeeping standards, and operational best practices.
Supervise accounting and business control functions, including contract entry, reporting, and month-end processes.
Address customer service matters and maintain positive grower relationships.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness, Agricultural Economics, Business, or a related field.
At least 2 years of experience in grain elevator operations.
Familiarity with grain contracting, CBOT hedging, and NGFA rules is a plus.
Skills & Competencies:
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Proven ability to lead operational and administrative teams.
Strong background in safety culture, productivity improvement, and team leadership.
Experience with budgeting, P&L oversight, and capital planning.
