Insurance Defense Attorney: Fully Remote Opportunity Serving Western Pennsylvania

Our client, a respected insurance defense firm, is seeking an Insurance Defense Attorney with 3+ years of experience to handle matters remotely while supporting its Pittsburgh practice. The firm defends insurers and insureds in auto, premises, general liability, and coverage-adjacent disputes across Pennsylvania.

This is a remote role. You will work from home with regular virtual collaboration with partners, claim professionals, and support staff, and occasional travel for depositions, hearings, or trials as needed.

What You'll Do

• Manage insurance defense files from pleadings through resolution
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and status reports for carriers
• Take and defend depositions by video or in person as required
• Attend arbitrations, mediations, and hearings
• Evaluate exposure and recommend strategy to clients and carriers

What We're Looking For

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active member of the Pennsylvania Bar in good standing
• 3+ years of insurance defense or civil litigation experience
• Strong research, writing, and organizational skills
• Comfort working independently in a remote setting
• Willingness to travel for key case events when needed
