Senior Project Manager – Structural Steel
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for overseeing structural steel and miscellaneous metals projects from award through closeout. This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards, while managing client relationships and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple structural steel and misc. metals projects from preconstruction through completion
- Oversee budgets, schedules, and overall project performance
- Coordinate with estimating, detailing, fabrication, and field installation teams
- Review contracts, drawings, and specifications to ensure scope is clearly defined
- Lead project meetings and maintain strong communication with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Track costs, manage change orders, and mitigate project risks
- Ensure projects meet safety and quality standards
- Mentor junior PMs and support team development
Qualifications:
- 8–15+ years of project management experience in structural steel or related construction
- Strong understanding of fabrication and erection processes
- Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and specifications
- Proven track record managing projects from start to finish
- Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
- Experience with project management and scheduling tools
