ob Title: Maintenance Manager – Dairy Manufacturing (On-Site, Full-Time)
About the Role:
Ready to lead a hands-on, high-impact maintenance team in a fun, fast-paced dairy plant? We’re looking for a Maintenance Manager who can roll up their sleeves, mentor the team, and keep everything running like a well-oiled machine. You’ll work side-by-side with plant leadership, production staff, and hourly maintenance crews, ensuring the facility hums smoothly every day. Ideal candidates have 10+ years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in food manufacturing, and have grown into a leadership role.
What You’ll Do (Essential Functions):
Train maintenance personnel on all aspects of plant equipment and facility upkeep
Respond to maintenance calls—or delegate effectively to your team
Be ready for emergency calls when off-hours via maintenance cell phone or designated personnel
Lead preventative maintenance programs and maintain detailed records
Keep accurate equipment files and handle parts/supplies orders cost-effectively
Issue and track purchase orders; schedule outside contractors as needed
Ensure all equipment complies with relevant regulations
Keep work areas organized, clean, and safe
Collaborate on projects with employees and contractors
Arrange annual boiler inspections and maintain current permits/certificates
Handle disciplinary warnings when needed, keeping the Operations Manager informed
Continuously identify efficiency improvements and cost-saving opportunities
Keep communication flowing across managers and supervisors
Take on other duties as assigned by plant leadership
What We’re Looking For:
10+ years of industrial maintenance experience, ideally in food manufacturing
Strong leadership and team-building skills
Hands-on, operational approach—this isn’t a desk-only role
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
