Local candidates only. Relocation is not available. Visa sponsorship is not available.

An established manufacturer in Sioux Falls, SD, is hiring a Human Resources Generalist to own all HR functions, plus safety and related administrative work. You'll report to the CEO and spend most of your time in the office, with some time on the factory floor. We're looking for someone with real HR and recruiting experience; manufacturing experience is ideal.

What you'll do:

  • Own end-to-end recruiting: advertising, job postings, interviews, hiring decisions, and offers
  • Run new-hire orientation, onboarding, and training
  • Manage employee relations with discretion—performance issues, policies, and employee concerns
  • Administer employee benefits, bonus, and rewards programs and keep employees informed
  • Lead performance management, including reviews, corrective action plans, and documentation
  • Process bi-weekly payroll, support wage reviews and monthly payroll meetings, and help with related audits
  • Handle workers' compensation, safety, and OSHA investigation and reporting
  • Maintain the HRIS and filing systems, update the employee handbook, and ensure federal, state, and local employment-law compliance

What you bring:

  • Hands-on HR and recruiting experience (required)
  • Manufacturing or industrial workplace experience (strongly preferred)
  • A 2-year degree in a related field, or 2+ years of related experience
  • Familiarity with core HR concepts, practices, and procedures, plus strong judgment and integrity
  • Strong organization, multi-tasking, and Microsoft Office skills
  • Ability to work comfortably in both office and factory settings

Pay and benefits: $60,000–$85,000 per year, full benefits, and a bonus incentive. This is an exempt role reporting to the CEO.

All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, age, color, sex (including pregnancy), religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, military status, genetic information, or any other status protected by applicable laws or regulations.
