Job Description

A community bank in Montrose is confidentially hiring an Ag Lender to work with ranchers, hay growers, and farm operations across the Uncompahgre Valley and the Western Slope. You'll handle new business, underwriting, structuring, closing, and servicing for a portfolio of ag and ag real estate loans.

Responsibilities:

• Grow relationships with ranchers, growers, and ag-related businesses
• Analyze financials, cash flow, and collateral, including cattle, irrigated ground, and water rights
• Structure operating, equipment, and land loans and prepare credit write-ups
• Perform inspections, annual reviews, and ongoing portfolio monitoring
• Introduce deposit and other bank services to producers
• Use FSA guarantee programs when appropriate

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Ag Business, Animal Science, Finance, or a related field preferred
• Ag lending or ag credit experience
• Understanding of cow-calf, hay, and irrigated crop operations
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills
• Self-directed and well organized
