Associate Attorney – Employment Defense (El Segundo, CA)

A busy, boutique defense law firm in El Segundo is seeking mid- to senior-level Employment Defense Attorneys to joing its expanding team. The firm is seeking talented litigators who are ready to handle challenging employment defense matters. While the role is currently in-office in El Segundo, the firm is also open to establishing satellite offices in San Francisco or San Diego for the right candidates.

Responsibilities:

• Represent employers in all phases of employment litigation, including discovery, motion practice, depositions, and trial preparation.
• Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, and settlement documents.
• Conduct legal research and analyze case law to support litigation strategy.
• Manage a personal docket of cases and maintain client communication.
• Participate in mediations, hearings, and trial proceedings as needed.
• Collaborate with partners and colleagues on case strategy and client matters.

Qualifications:

• Mid- to senior-level employment litigation experience 
• Strong knowledge of California employment law defense and related federal laws.
• Proven litigation experience with strong writing and advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage a heavy caseload and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent client communication and interpersonal skills.
• California Bar admission required.
