Job Description

A community bank in Ottumwa is adding a Credit Analyst to support its lenders across Wapello County and southeast Iowa. You'll partner closely with loan officers on commercial, ag, and real estate requests, and the role offers a clear path into lending or senior credit.

Responsibilities:

• Spread financial statements and tax returns and write thorough credit memos
• Analyze and assign risk ratings to commercial and ag credit lines
• Work hand in hand with loan officers on new requests and renewals
• Help train and mentor newer analysts
• Prepare month-end and regulatory reports
• Support loan review and compliance with policy and regulations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
• At least 1 year of bank credit analysis experience preferred
• Strong Excel, analytical, and writing skills
• Detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines
• Interest in moving toward lending or a senior credit role
