About the Role: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team supporting a dynamic food manufacturing facility. This hands-on, multi-craft maintenance role is essential to maintaining the safe, compliant, and reliable operation of production, packaging, and utility systems within a 24/7 operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance

  • Maintain and service pumps, conveyors, boilers, refrigeration, and automated packaging & slicing equipment

  • Diagnose and resolve issues with PLCs, VFDs, instrumentation, and control systems

  • Read and interpret schematics, P&IDs, and electrical drawings to ensure proper system operation

  • Support food safety initiatives and maintain sanitary process systems

  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence

  • Work independently with a strong focus on safety and compliance

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of industrial maintenance experience (food or beverage industry preferred)

  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills

  • Proficient with PLCs, VFDs, and automated packaging/slicing machinery

  • Experience with pumps, conveyors, boilers, refrigeration, and instrumentation calibration

  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and related documentation

  • Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration, boilers, and wastewater systems is a plus

  • Commitment to food safety, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement

  • Safety-conscious with the ability to work independently on a 6am–6pm schedule, including weekends as needed
