We’re a collaborative, mid-sized law firm with a deep bench of talent and a leadership structure that includes a Managing Shareholder, Department Chairs, and a Board of Directors. We're looking for a Chief Operating Officer who can bring structure, oversight, and day-to-day operational leadership —someone who knows how to make a professional services firm run smoothly.

Think: organized, steady-handed, with a keen eye for both people and processes.

Who You Are

βœ… A seasoned operational leader with 10–20 years of experience in a law firm, accounting firm, engineering firm, or other structured professional services environment
βœ… You’ve worked closely with firm leadership — Managing Partners, Shareholders, Board members — and understand the dynamics
βœ… Comfortable with strategic planning and administrative details
βœ… A proactive communicator who can serve as a bridge between leadership and departments
βœ… Preferably familiar with legal industry practices, but open to other industries with similar structure

What You’ll Be Doing

Board of Directors Support

  • Develop agendas and prep materials for Shareholder/Board meetings
  • Set annual firm calendars and coordinate bonus pool estimates
  • Manage annual Board elections and post-meeting follow-up with Managing Shareholder

Managing Shareholder Support

  • Serve as a key partner to the Managing Shareholder for strategic and operational initiatives
  • Draft and review leadership communications
  • Assist in lateral hire offer development and employment record maintenance
  • Provide data on attorney performance and support firmwide reporting

Department Chair & Shareholder Support

  • Act as liaison for resolving internal concerns and administrative hurdles
  • Support case intake processes and client relations issues
  • Compile and distribute key firm data and monthly/annual contribution summaries
