Job Description

An AISC-certified Michigan steel erector is hiring a Business Development Manager to grow work across large Midwest projects of 5,000+ tons. This permanent full-time role pairs a base of $100,000-$200,000 per annum with bonus incentives, and includes Midwest travel.

What you will do

• Build and pursue new steel erection opportunities with general contractors and owners across the Midwest
• Lead pursuit strategy for major structural steel packages on projects of 5,000+ tons
• Maintain market intel on competitors, bid timing, and project pipelines
• Represent an AISC-certified Michigan erector in client meetings and industry events
• Travel across the Midwest to advance pursuits and deepen client relationships

What you bring

• Business development or sales experience in steel erection, structural steel, or heavy construction
• Comfort winning work on large-tonnage Midwest projects
• Strong network with general contractors, fabricators, or owners preferred
• Willingness to travel throughout the Midwest
• Clear communication and a track record of closing opportunity pipelines
