Job Description

Join a structural steel fabricator near Covington, KY as a Steel Estimator. You'll build accurate, competitive bids covering fabricated and erected steel packages for commercial and industrial work.

Day-to-day:

• Build complete estimates covering material, shop labor, and erection, and prepare proposals
• Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing for structural and miscellaneous steel from plans and specs
• Work with project managers and steel erectors on constructability and sequencing
• Solicit and evaluate quotes for detailing, erection, galvanizing, coatings, and freight

You'll need:

• 5+ years estimating structural steel
• Experience with estimating software such as Tekla EPM, SDS2, or similar
• Strong blueprint reading skills
