Job Description

An early- to mid-career opportunity with real range: a Kansas City steel fabricator and erector focused on structural and miscellaneous steel packages is hiring an Estimator / Project Manager who wants to sharpen skills in estimating and project management at the same time.

Responsibilities:

• Request detailing, erection, and coatings quotes and assemble bids and proposals
• Lead awarded jobs through fabrication and erection, managing budget, schedule, and change orders
• Develop takeoffs and estimates for miscellaneous and structural steel packages
• Coordinate with detailers, general contractors, field crews, and the shop
• Stay on top of submittals and RFIs while tracking project costs

Ideal candidate:

• 2-8 years of related construction, project management, or steel estimating experience
• Comfortable reading architectural and structural drawings
• Construction management or engineering degree, or equivalent experience, preferred
• Understands structural and miscellaneous metals scopes
• Estimating software experience a plus

Compensation: $75,000 - $105,000, plus a yearly bonus opportunity and a sign-on bonus for top candidates joining from competitors.
