Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as an Assisted Living Nurse Supervisor. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing resident care, supervising staff, and ensuring high-quality clinical services in a supportive assisted living environment.
The ideal candidate brings strong clinical judgment, leadership ability, and a passion for delivering resident-centered care while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the direct care of assisted living residents
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans
- Conduct routine clinical assessments and monitor residents’ health status
- Administer medications and ensure compliance with provider orders
- Serve as the primary nursing contact for physicians, families, staff, and external partners
- Collaborate with leadership to implement best practices and improve care delivery
- Provide staff training, supervision, and competency validation
- Assist with staffing needs, including shift coverage and on-call responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical and staff documentation
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members regarding care updates
- Ensure adherence to infection control, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
Education/Training:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Leadership skills with the ability to supervise, train, and motivate staff
- Ability to analyze data and support decision-making processes
- Experience developing policies, procedures, and care plans
- Strong organizational, planning, and delegation skills
- Conflict resolution, team-building, and active listening abilities
- Proficiency with computer systems and healthcare documentation
Work Environment & Expectations
- Scheduled on-call rotation required
- Ability to respond to resident care needs and staff questions as needed
- Participation in staff meetings, training, and quality initiatives
- Commitment to maintaining a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for residents and staff
