Civil Litigation Associate | Austin
A respected Austin law firm is looking to add a Civil Litigation Associate to its growing team. This is an opportunity for an attorney who wants hands-on experience, meaningful client interaction, and practical training while working alongside attorneys who genuinely value mentorship, communication, and work-life balance.
The firm’s attorneys handle a diverse range of matters for both large corporate clients and smaller businesses and individuals, including clients in the construction industry. The team works across construction, commercial real estate, business, and civil litigation, providing associates with exposure to sophisticated matters while maintaining a collegial and supportive environment.
What You'll Do
- Handle civil litigation matters from case development through resolution
- Gain hands-on experience with construction, real estate, and business-related disputes
- Participate in discovery, depositions, motion practice, hearings, and other litigation proceedings
- Communicate directly with clients and assist with developing practical legal strategies
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, correspondence, and other legal documents
- Work closely with experienced attorneys and receive practical, day-to-day mentorship
- Develop an understanding of the business and practical considerations behind each matter
What We're Looking For
- Civil litigation experience
- Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills
- Interest or experience in construction, real estate, or business-related matters
- Comfortable interacting directly with clients
- Hard-working, dependable, and willing to take ownership of assignments
- Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work well with others
- Someone who values mentorship, professionalism, and a healthy work-life balance
- Texas Bar admission
