Associate Attorney – Litigation - San Diego, CA

A well-established law firm is seeking attorneys with 1–7+ years of litigation experience to join its San Diego office. This is an excellent opportunity to handle a diverse range of cases and work collaboratively with an experienced legal team across various practice areas, including insurance defense, business, non-profits, employment, construction, real estate, intellectual property, and civil rights.

Responsibilities

  • Provide legal representation for clients before courts, arbitration panels, and administrative bodies
  • Prepare legal documentation, obtain and organize pertinent defense information, and advise clients on complex legal issues
  • Conduct extensive legal research and analysis to support litigation strategies
  • Manage cases, including planning and conducting investigations and discovery
  • Evaluate potential exposure for settlement, arbitration, or trial regarding liability and damages

Qualifications

  • JD from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar
  • 1–7+ years of litigation experience
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive, team-oriented approach
  • Compassionate and client-focused with a strong work ethic
