Family Litigation Paralegal – San Diego, CA
A well-established law firm in San Diego is seeking an experienced Family Litigation Paralegal to join their team. This is a full-time, in-office role supporting attorneys across all aspects of family law matters. The ideal candidate will have mid-senior level family law experience and thrive in a collaborative, professional environment.
Responsibilities:
- Knowledge of family law rules of court and local rules and procedures for filing and lodging documents
- Prepare pleadings, motions, financial disclosures, settlement agreements, and other correspondence, including Bates stamping of exhibits
- Draft declarations, answer and propound discovery, draft settlement and trial briefs, and analyze financial records
- Navigate local rules of court while managing filing deadlines
- Significant client contact in person, by phone, and email
- Intake of new clients, prepare engagement letters, and handle retainers
- Perform administrative support functions such as scanning, emailing documents to clients, maintaining client files, and meeting with clients
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Paralegal Certificate required
- Minimum of two years of family law paralegal experience
- High integrity, strong work ethic, and proactive “how can I help?” attitude
- Strong administrative skills and attention to detail
- Experience with iManage, Compulaw, Forms Workflow, Westlaw, or other comparable programs
- Professional appearance and communication skills with clients and co-workers
Compensation:
- Salary range: $80,000–$100,000 DOE
