Survey Department Manager Compensation Package:

  • $150,000-$200,000 salary, negotiable based on experience
  • Company paid health, dental, vision insurance
  • 5-6 weeks of Paid Vacation

Survey Department Manager Functions:

  • Manage the entire surveying department and be a key decision maker
  • Lead survey team on a wide variety of projects in the public and private sector
  • Provide survey services to clients and engineering department
  • Build the survey department in size and capability
  • Make strategic decisions pertaining to hiring, business development and marketing
  • Be responsible for quality of work, client satisfaction, department profitability, schedules and overall department performance
  • Provide guidence and mentorship to junior staff
  • Acquire new work and maintain current client base

Survey Department Manager Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of Professional Experience
  • Active California Professional Land Surveying License
  • Experienced in both private and public sectors
  • Ideally have some experience with Business Development and Marketing
  • Experienced with topographic surveys, construction staking, mapping, entitlement surveys, boundary and alta surveys, plat and legal descriptions, and right of way engineering
  • Excellent communication and people skills and experience directly managing people
