Position: Structural Bridge Engineer
In this role, you will:
Lead the design and preparation of plans, specifications, and estimates for bridges in accordance with Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) requirements.
Perform structural analysis and design with a focus on Florida highway structures.
Review shop drawings and conduct structural inspections of bridges and highway structures.
Lead project design meetings and coordinate with internal team members.
Mentor, train, and develop junior engineering staff.
Support business development efforts, including proposal preparation and helping expand the client base.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis.
Master’s degree in Structural Engineering preferred.
At least 8 years of experience in bridge structural design; familiarity with FDOT standards strongly preferred.
Proficiency in structural analysis and design software; experience with MicroStation required or strongly preferred.
Ability to develop details, drawings, and plan sheets using MicroStation.
Experience with OpenBridge Modeler and Designer is a significant advantage.
Professional Engineer (PE) license in Florida required.
Prior business development or project management experience is a plus.
