Position Overview
We’re seeking a seasoned Controller to lead accounting operations at a respected metals supplier. This role oversees financial reporting, payroll, A/P & A/R, and inventory control, partnering with the CFO to drive strategic financial decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver accurate internal and external financial reports

  • Oversee A/P and A/R teams to ensure smooth daily operations

  • Ensure sales tax compliance and support multi-state payroll

  • Manage payroll and ensure timely tax reporting

  • Supervise inventory accounting and monthly valuations

  • Perform bank reconciliations and coordinate with external CPA

  • Monitor and improve financial controls and reporting systems

  • Serve as backup Credit Manager and support collections policies

  • Provide timely insights to the CFO and assist on special projects

  • Maintain professionalism and clear communication with all stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Accounting; CPA or CMA preferred

  • 7+ years in accounting leadership, ideally in manufacturing or supply chain

  • Experience with payroll, sales tax, inventory, and A/P & A/R

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems

  • Strong grasp of GAAP and internal controls

  • Ethical, detail-oriented, and collaborative

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $120,000–$140,000 DOE
