Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Community Bank | Executive Leadership Role

A well-capitalized and growing community bank is seeking a seasoned Chief Financial Officer to join the executive leadership team and help drive the institution’s financial strategy, balance sheet management, and long-term growth.

This role is ideal for a proven bank CFO who thrives in a collaborative, relationship-driven environment and enjoys partnering with executive leadership and the Board to shape the bank’s financial performance and strategic direction.

The CFO will oversee all aspects of financial management including investment portfolio strategy, ALCO leadership, capital planning, regulatory reporting, and financial operations.

Key Areas of Leadership

Strategic Financial Leadership

  • Partner with the CEO and Board of Directors to develop and execute the bank’s financial and balance sheet strategy

  • Provide financial insight to support strategic initiatives, growth opportunities, and capital planning

Investment Portfolio & ALCO Management

  • Oversee the bank’s investment securities portfolio, including Treasuries, Agencies, mortgage-backed securities, and municipals

  • Lead the Asset Liability Committee (ALCO) and manage interest rate risk, liquidity strategy, and funding mix

Financial & Regulatory Oversight

  • Direct all financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis

  • Oversee Call Report preparation and regulatory financial compliance

  • Maintain strong relationships with auditors, regulators, and external advisors

Operational Leadership

  • Lead and mentor the accounting and finance organization

  • Ensure strong internal controls, financial discipline, and regulatory compliance

  • Support operational efficiency and scalable financial infrastructure as the bank grows

Qualifications

  • Currently serving or previously served as CFO of a financial institution for at least 3 years

  • 10+ years of progressive banking finance experience

  • Strong expertise in bank investment portfolios, ALCO strategy, liquidity management, and interest rate risk

  • Deep knowledge of bank accounting, Call Reports, and regulatory financial reporting

  • Experience working closely with bank boards and executive leadership teams

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline

  • CPA strongly preferred

Compensation

  • Base Salary: $175,000– $200,000+ depending on experience

  • Executive bonus program
