MUST HAVE BACKGROUND IN ACCOUNTING WITH MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY

Requirements:

Education: Bachelors of Science degree in Accounting

Experience:

  • Several years as accounting manager in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in monthly financial statements, budgets, profit analysis, manufacturing job costing and projections
  • Must be able to work with management team to assist company ownership in making financial decisions 
  • Supervisory Experience with ability to lead and manage employees

Knowledge:

  • State sales, propriety and use taxes
  • Federal taxes and return processing
  • 401kl, healthcare insurance, others workers comp
  • Microsoft Office, CRM and ac counting software, preferred with Teams, Excel, Word, Access, Goldmine, MISys, Sage 50, or similar software
  • Preferred - International transaction, letter of credits and guarantees

 

ResponsibilitiesPrimary is to manage the accounting department and all its functions, and to provide timely reporting to ownership and general manager. Develop accounting system and reduce costs associated with accounting

  • evaluates, creates, and updates accounting procedures and policies
  • Supervisor of accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Evaluates and approves all wire transfers, cashiers checks, and checks daily materials purchases prior to processing
  • Supervise Payroll Processing, transactions, and reporting
  • Preparation of journal entries, accounts analysis and inventory valuations
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement
  • Review WIP cost from labor and material dispensed reports
  • Compares inventory valuation report to material purchases, beginning inventory and dispensed items report for each month
  • Evaluates and creates general ledger journal entries to insure accurate reports
  • Evaluates and creates budget and profit projections
  • Prepares month end fiscal year end audits
  • Prepares weekly cash flow projections and bank reconciliation
  • Prepares quarterly tax reporting
  • Performs job costing on machinery manufactured and reviews costing with manufacturing supervision. Compares cost with selling price to compute margins.
  • Evaluates and creates yearly operation, manufacturing labor cost and overhead cost
  • Evaluates and creates yearly operational, manufacturing labor cost and overhead cost
  • Assists ownership and management in backing relationships and financial decisions
