Do you have strong ag lending experience and want to lead? gpac is recruiting on behalf of a confidential client, a respected community bank in Eastern South Dakota. They want an experienced Ag Loan Officer to build and keep key farm and ranch relationships, with real pre-approval authority, a branch to lead, and a clear path to Market President within the next couple of years.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
- Lead lending with generous pre-approval authority, and manage branch and market financials.
- Work closely with the credit team on larger loans.
- Oversee up to 2 direct reports, with the opportunity to step up as Market President.
🎯 What You Bring
- 3+ years of agricultural lending experience (5+ preferred), ideally in Eastern South Dakota.
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, agriculture, animal science, or related field.
- Knowledge of credit, compliance, and regulatory standards.
- Strong decision-making, clear communication, and a customer-focused mindset.
- Bonus: FSA lending experience.
- Crop insurance knowledge is a plus.
💼 Compensation & Benefits
- $75,000 - $140,000 per year, plus bonus, with quarterly bonuses tied to individual and team goals.
