Job Title: Project Manager – Heavy Civil Construction
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and oversee heavy civil construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of project execution, including budgeting, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and client communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage heavy civil construction projects ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget
- Oversee multiple civil scopes including excavation, grading, and earthwork operations
- Coordinate and manage underground utilities, roadway construction, and paving activities
- Supervise concrete structures, bridge construction, and dam/reservoir projects as applicable
- Lead project planning, scheduling, and cost control efforts
- Collaborate with field teams, engineers, subcontractors, and clients
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
- Support and manage alternative delivery projects such as CMAR, Design-Build, and JOC
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in heavy civil construction project management
- Proven experience managing diverse civil scopes (earthwork, utilities, paving, structures)
- Experience with alternative delivery methods (CMAR, Design-Build, JOC, etc.) preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
