A well-established local Mechanical Contractor is looking to fill an HVAC Military and Federal Estimator position working on large projects.

Job description:
- Prepare detailed estimates for commercial and federal construction projects
- Develop and scope multiple trade packages (mechanical, plumbing, electrical, civil, architectural, etc.)
- Review drawings and specifications to identify scope gaps, conflicts, and risks
- Solicit, analyze, and qualify subcontractor bids
- Level bids and ensure scope alignment across trades
- Coordinate closely with project management and operations
- Support quick-turnaround pricing and time-sensitive proposals
- Assist with RFIs, clarifications, and scope narratives as needed
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in commercial or federal construction estimating
- Strong general construction knowledge across multiple trades
- Experience scoping, leveling, and qualifying subcontractor bids
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specs, and contract documents
- Comfortable working under tight deadlines
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive
- Federal / military project, JOC, MACC experience preferred (NAVFAC a plus)
- Candidate must be authorized to work in the US without restrictions
