We are seeking an experienced General Liability Associate to join a dynamic and growing legal team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in toxic tort, complex litigation (including malpractice claims), subrogation, and general liability defense. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage a diverse caseload with independence and confidence.
✔️ Required Experience & Qualifications
5+ years of relevant litigation experience
Recent Illinois insurance defense experience (within the last 3 years)
Expertise in toxic tort, malpractice defense, subrogation, and general liability matters
Active Illinois law license; Indiana/Wisconsin licensure is a plus
Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
Familiarity with billing guidelines and requirements
📚 Key Responsibilities
Manage all phases of litigation, from initial case evaluation through trial prep
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and reports
Conduct depositions, court appearances, and negotiations
Communicate effectively with clients, carriers, and internal teams
Maintain billing compliance and meet productivity expectations
