Project Manager – Structural Steel Erection

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead large-scale structural steel erection projects. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of hands-on structural steel erection experience, regularly managing projects exceeding 5,000 tons. This role requires strong field coordination skills, technical expertise, and the ability to drive complex projects to successful completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage structural steel erection projects from planning through closeout

  • Coordinate with field crews, subcontractors, engineers, and general contractors

  • Review drawings, erection plans, and project specifications

  • Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets

  • Monitor project progress, quality, and safety compliance

  • Lead jobsite meetings and maintain clear communication with stakeholders

  • Oversee equipment planning, sequencing, and erection methodology

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience managing structural steel erection projects

  • Proven experience overseeing 5,000+ ton steel projects regularly

  • Strong understanding of steel erection means, methods, and sequencing

  • Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and connection details

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills

  • Strong problem-solving abilities in fast-paced construction environments
