The Transportation Engineer for City or County will play a key role in planning, design, and production of municipal and county roadway projects across Minnesota. You’ll grow fast, learn from experienced professionals, and contribute to projects that directly impact local communities.

Key Responsibilities of the Transportation Engineer for City or County:
Support transportation design projects for municipal and county clients
Assist with preliminary and final design of roadways, stormwater systems, utilities, and multimodal facilities
Use MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, or AutoCAD Civil 3D to develop models and plan sets
Prepare construction documents, staging plans, and cost estimates
Collaborate closely with licensed engineers and project managers
What You’ll Need:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (or related field)
0–4 years of civil engineering experience (internships/co-ops count)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Familiarity with MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, or Civil 3D
EIT certification (or ability to obtain within 12 months)
The ideal Transportation Engineer for City or County will be highly motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to real-world infrastructure solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with municipal or county transportation projects
Familiarity with MnDOT and local design guidelines
Compensation:
Salary Range: $70,000 – $80,000 annually (depending on experience) Status: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (No visa sponsorship available)
