Are you looking to launch or elevate your litigation career in the heart of the world’s most dynamic legal market? Our client, a highly regarded New York law firm, is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join their thriving Insurance Defense practice.

The Opportunity

This isn't a role where you’ll be stuck in a library doing research all day. From day one, you will be an integral part of the defense team, handling diverse matters involving general liability, professional malpractice, and complex torts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Case Management: Handle all phases of litigation from inception through resolution/trial.
  • Drafting: Prepare high-level pleadings, motions, and legal memorandums.
  • Discovery: Conduct and defend depositions and manage the discovery process.
  • Court Appearances: Represent clients in New York State and Federal courts for conferences and arguments.
  • Strategy: Collaborate with senior partners to develop innovative defense strategies for high-stakes claims.

Who You Are

  • The Credentials: J.D. from an accredited law school and admitted to practice (or pending admission) in New York.
  • The Experience: 0–3 years of legal experience. We are willing to train the right candidate who has a strong work ethic and a passion for litigation.
  • The Skills: Exceptional writing and analytical skills are a must. You should be comfortable navigating fast-paced environments and meeting deadlines.
  • The Mindset: A proactive "self-starter" who is eager to get into the courtroom and advocate zealously for clients.
