An established law firm in Walnut Creek is hiring a Civil Litigation Attorney with 1+ years of experience to join its growing litigation team. The role is hybrid, mixing in-office collaboration with remote work, and offers real case ownership, mentorship from seasoned litigators, and a clear path to advance.
What you'll do
- Handle a civil litigation caseload from intake through trial or resolution
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal memoranda
- Take and defend depositions and appear at hearings
- Do legal research and develop case strategy with senior attorneys
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and the courts
What you'll bring
- Active California State Bar license in good standing
- 1+ years of civil litigation experience
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
- Courtroom or deposition experience is a plus
- Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing deadlines
