As we continue to grow, we’re seeking a Senior Accountant to join our finance team and help drive accuracy, insight, and accountability across the organization.

Position Overview

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of our financial reporting and supporting the day-to-day accounting operations. This position offers hands-on responsibility in general ledger management, inventory reconciliation, financial analysis, and month-end close. Ideal candidates will have experience in a product-based or construction-related environment and a strong understanding of inventory accounting, cost controls, and operational finance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform and manage month-end and year-end close processes

  • Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial statements

  • Monitor and reconcile inventory transactions across multiple yards/locations

  • Track job costing, margins, and project profitability

  • Support budgeting and forecasting efforts with historical analysis and insight

  • Work cross-functionally with sales, purchasing, and operations to ensure accurate financial data

  • Assist in preparing for audits and ensuring compliance with internal controls

  • Identify process improvements to increase accounting efficiency and accuracy

  • Supervise or mentor junior accounting staff as needed

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in building materials, construction, or manufacturing

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls

  • Experience with Great Plains and BisTrack (or similar ERP/accounting platforms)

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus but not required

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

  • Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
