Commercial Superintendent – Traveling (Chicago-Based)

A growing commercial general contractor is seeking a Commercial Superintendent with 5+ years of experience managing diverse commercial construction projects. This role is ideally based in the Chicago area, with the expectation of regional travel as projects require.

Project Types: Ground-up and interior commercial projects across sectors such as retail, light industrial, healthcare, education, and mixed-use.

Travel Expectations:

• Candidates should be open to traveling for project assignments lasting 3+ months at a time

• Typical travel locations include Tennessee and Indiana

• Travel support and accommodations will be provided

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily on-site operations from mobilization through closeout

• Coordinate subcontractors, schedules, and site logistics

• Maintain safety standards and quality control across all phases

• Partner with Project Managers to ensure schedule and budget alignment

• Lead site meetings and maintain strong communication with clients and trade partners

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as a Commercial Superintendent

• Experience managing multiple trades on ground-up and/or renovation projects

• Strong scheduling and leadership skills

• Willingness to travel for extended project durations

• OSHA certification preferred

Compensation:

• Base salary around $100K, with flexibility for highly qualified candidates

• Travel package and additional project-related incentives available
