We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Structural Steel Estimator to join our team. This position is ideal for a skilled professional with a strong background in Division 5 steel estimating, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys collaborating with project managers, detailers, and clients. Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for steel fabrication and erection projects
Perform material take-offs and pricing based on structural and architectural drawings
Review and interpret design documents in collaboration with detailers to confirm project scope
Participate in value-engineering exercises to optimize project cost and efficiency
Develop and maintain relationships with general contractors, clients, and vendors
Support project hand-off and transition to operations and fabrication teams
5+ years of estimating experience in structural steel fabrication and erection (Division 5 preferred)
Proficient in reading and interpreting structural steel and miscellaneous metals drawings
Strong ability to perform detailed take-offs and generate competitive bids
Proficiency with estimating software such as Bluebeam, FabTrol, or similar platforms
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience working on AISC-certified projects
Familiarity with joists, decking, stairs, and railings
Exposure to both public (schools, municipal) and private sector projects
Background handling projects ranging from $1.5M to $20M in scope
Work with a collaborative, experienced team of industry professionals
