The Agronomy Location Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational activities of a single agronomy location, ensuring efficient, safe, and high-quality service delivery to customers. This position focuses heavily on logistics, inventory management, equipment maintenance, and coordination of custom application and agronomy product handling. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who excels at managing people, processes, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise daily operational activities at the agronomy location, including fertilizer blending, chemical handling, seed distribution, and custom application dispatching.

  • Manage and schedule personnel, equipment, and resources to meet seasonal demands and customer needs.

  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards (DOT, OSHA, EPA, etc.).

  • Oversee inventory control, including receiving, storage, and shipment of agronomy products; maintain accurate records and conduct routine audits.

  • Coordinate equipment maintenance schedules to ensure reliability and minimize downtime.

  • Support sales team by preparing products and equipment for timely and accurate delivery or application.

  • Monitor facility cleanliness, organization, and operational readiness.

  • Assist with budgeting, cost tracking, and efficiency improvement initiatives.

  • Foster a culture of teamwork, safety, and accountability among staff.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Ag Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.

  • 3+ years of agronomy operations or ag retail experience; prior leadership or supervisory experience a plus.

  • Strong knowledge of agronomy products, equipment, and regulatory compliance.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, seasonal environment.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency with agricultural software systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Valid driver’s license; CDL and/or custom applicator license preferred or ability to obtain.
