Tax Senior / Supervising Senior

Location: Lehi, UT

Overview

A growing national CPA firm serving private and public companies, high-net-worth individuals and family offices is seeking a Tax Senior or Supervising Senior in Lehi, Utah. You will prepare and review complex returns, own client engagement workflow and supervise staff. A hybrid work model is available.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review federal and multi-state returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations and trusts, with related workpapers
• Prepare more complex client work and delegate entry-level work to staff
• Own and organize engagement workflow to meet filing deadlines and budgets
• Identify tax issues, propose strategies and research technical matters
• Respond to and prepare correspondence to tax authorities
• Supervise, coach and provide feedback to staff and interns
• Train others on tax preparation software

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant tax experience
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related major
• Passed the CPA exam and eligible for licensure strongly preferred
• Proven experience leading and supervising a team
• Strong technical aptitude, communication skills and attention to detail
