The Opportunity
An Am Law 100 international law firm is seeking an Insurance Coverage Litigation Attorney to join its growing New York/New Jersey practice.
This role offers the opportunity to represent national and international insurer clients in sophisticated coverage disputes involving complex liability claims across multiple industries. The successful candidate will work alongside a nationally recognized insurance coverage team handling high-profile matters throughout the United States.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop litigation strategy for complex insurance coverage disputes and related litigation.
- Analyze insurance policies and claims while preparing coverage analyses and client recommendations.
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and legal memoranda.
- Conduct sophisticated legal research and analysis.
- Take and defend depositions.
- Attend hearings, mediations, and other litigation proceedings.
- Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and paralegals as appropriate.
- Manage multiple complex matters while maintaining exceptional client service.
Qualifications
- Active New York Bar admission required.
- New Jersey Bar admission preferred.
- 3–4+ years of insurance coverage litigation experience.
- Experience involving product liability, toxic tort, construction defect, pollution, asbestos, or related liability insurance matters preferred.
- Strong deposition experience.
- Experience in both state and federal courts.
- Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Strong academic credentials and demonstrated career progression.
