Job Description

A structural steel fabricator serving Middletown, OH wants a Steel Estimator who can turn plans and specs into winning bids for commercial and industrial fabricated and erected steel work.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare complete estimates including material, shop labor, and erection, plus proposals
• Collaborate with project managers and steel erectors on sequencing and constructability
• Complete quantity takeoffs and pricing for structural and miscellaneous steel
• Gather and evaluate quotes for detailing, erection, galvanizing, coatings, and freight

Qualifications:

• Experience using estimating software such as Tekla EPM, SDS2, or similar
• 5+ years estimating structural steel
• Strong blueprint reading skills
