Job Summary

A well-established heavy civil contractor is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the management of transportation, bridge, roadway, and infrastructure projects. This role works closely with Project Managers and field leadership to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in managing project schedules, budgets, and cost controls
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field operations
• Prepare RFIs, submittals, pay applications, and change orders
• Track project costs, forecasts, and productivity metrics
• Participate in owner, engineer, and subcontractor meetings
• Support procurement and material tracking efforts
• Ensure project documentation remains accurate and current
• Help maintain safety and quality standards across all project activities

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience in heavy civil, bridge, transportation, or infrastructure construction
• Strong understanding of construction processes and project management principles
• Experience with project management software and scheduling tools
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
