Tax Senior

Location: Austin, TX

Overview

A nationally ranked CPA firm recognized as a leader in real estate and community development is seeking a Tax Senior in Austin. You will complete tax assignments with minimal supervision, supervise and mentor staff, solve problems independently and strengthen client relationships. Remote or hybrid arrangements may be available.

Responsibilities

• Complete tax projects for designated clients with minimal manager oversight
• Conduct thorough engagement reviews and take on increasing engagement management
• Recognize potential problem areas and propose effective solutions
• Conduct research, analyze data, compile reports and make recommendations
• Develop and maintain effective client relationships
• Supervise and mentor staff accountants
• Work toward a CPA license if not already obtained

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting or finance
• 1-3 years of public accounting experience
• Eligible to sit for the CPA exam; CPA license a plus
• Strong understanding of accounting and tax rules
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
• Strong organization and attention to detail
