Our client, a leading financial services firm, is seeking a seasoned Senior Agricultural Loan Officer to manage and grow a significant agricultural loan portfolio ranging from $50MM to $150MM. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting agricultural businesses with tailored financing solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and expand a diverse portfolio including operating lines of credit, farm real estate, and equipment financing.
- Analyze and approve complex loans by reviewing financial documents such as balance sheets and cash flow statements.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular on-farm visits and personalized financial guidance.
- Ensure compliance with banking policies and regulations to mitigate risk and manage delinquencies.
- Represent the institution at local agricultural and community events.
- Mentor junior loan officers and credit analysts to foster team growth.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- 7-15+ years of experience in agricultural lending with a proven ability to manage complex loans.
- Proficient in financial analysis software and Microsoft Office.
- Strong knowledge of farm management, crop insurance, and FSA loan programs.
Preferred:
- Well-connected within the agricultural community and banking sector.
This role involves office work combined with 10-50% travel for on-site farm visits, perfect for someone who enjoys being active and engaged with clients.
