Position: Associate Attorney (Civil Litigation / Insurance Defense)

Location: Dallas, TX

Type: Full-Time, On-Site

Salary Range: $110,000 – $130,000 / year (commensurate with experience) + Bonus

About the Opportunity

An established litigation practice in Dallas is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its team. This fully in-office role provides substantial hands-on experience, direct mentorship from senior trial partners, and a clear path for ongoing professional growth. The ideal candidate will have strong case-management skills and the confidence to manage their own docket in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a personal civil litigation docket from case inception through resolution.

  • Actively participate in all phases of litigation, including drafting and responding to discovery, preparing pleadings, and handling motions.

  • Conduct depositions, interview expert witnesses, and represent clients in court proceedings and mediations.

  • Meet and consult directly with clients, providing strategic legal guidance.

  • Collaborate closely with trial team partners and actively participate in trial preparation and trial proceedings.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and active license to practice law in the State of Texas.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in civil litigation, with exposure to insurance defense.

  • Demonstrated ability to independently handle and manage a case docket.

  • Strong analytical, legal research, writing, and advocacy skills, along with a team-oriented mindset.
