Job Description

We are a boutique Chicago-based law firm handling complex commercial litigation and corporate matters. We are currently seeking a highly experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our team and support attorneys in managing sophisticated, high-stakes litigation matters.

The ideal candidate will bring 8–10+ years of commercial litigation experience, preferably in a BigLaw or similarly demanding legal environment. This role requires top-tier litigation support skills including trial preparation, electronic court filings, cite-checking, and handling complex discovery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proofread, edit, and cite check legal memoranda and briefs, including fact and legal citation verification.
  • Prepare and submit state and federal court filings using electronic filing platforms (e-filing).
  • Assist with discovery processes, including document production, management of electronically stored information (ESI), and use of document management systems.
  • Support attorneys in all aspects of deposition preparation, including exhibit preparation and coordination.
  • Manage trial preparation, including creating trial binders, managing exhibits, and handling logistics for trial teams.
  • Provide on-site trial support, which may require travel.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 8 years of litigation paralegal experience; 10+ years strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience taking multiple cases through trial.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, follow-up, and project management skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Paralegal Certificate or Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience with document management systems.
  • Familiarity with Westlaw and legal research tools.
  • Knowledge of deposition processing software.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base Salary: $120,000 – $140,000 (commensurate with experience)
