Job Snapshot

Job Description

Let’s be honest: most food and beverage operations run on chaos, frantic downtime, and expired product stress. My client doesn’t. They run a high-speed, world-class manufacturing facility, and they need a true strategist to keep the lines humming perfectly.

We are looking for a Maintenance Planner in Stephenson County who can orchestrate internal crews and external partners into a flawless, high-efficiency machine. If you are tired of just reacting to line breakdowns and want to build a culture of precision and reliability, this confidential industry leader wants to talk to you.

The Culture: We Invest in Your Success

Here is the truth: my client knows their people are the absolute backbone of their continued success. They do not just hire for today; they build for tomorrow. Employee career development is a core value here. If you want a company that takes your professional growth seriously, provides a highly competitive wage and benefits package, and actively clears a path for your career advancement, you just found it.

The Mission

You are the nerve center of the food and beverage maintenance department. You will eliminate plant inefficiencies, optimize high-value equipment resources, and serve as the ultimate authority on scheduling. Collaborating directly with leadership, you will align daily floor realities with macro business goals.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Command the Supply Chain: Negotiate pricing, generate critical purchase orders, and own the vendor procurement process.
  • Architect Plant Reliability: Design, validate, and execute elite Preventive and Predictive Maintenance (PM/PdM) plans alongside top-tier technicians.
  • Own the Inventory: Manage a fully optimized parts room, tracking critical equipment needs and maintaining precise inventory control.
  • Run the Schedule: Facilitate high-impact planning meetings, build agendas, and strategically distribute work orders via advanced CMMS platforms.
  • Master the Metrics: Estimate labor hours, calculate job durations, manage backlogs, and initiate cost projections for major projects.
  • Be the Subject Matter Expert: Serve as the absolute authority on the maintenance system, ensuring flawless job plans, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and technical instructions.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of heavy-hitting experience in maintenance planning or supervision (food and beverage sector experience is a massive plus).
  • A 2-year technical degree is preferred, but your actual track record matters more.
  • Razor-sharp mechanical and electrical aptitude. You don't just look at data; you understand how manufacturing machinery breathes.
  • Strong budgetary skills, cost-analysis capabilities, and the literacy to write elite technical repair reports.

If you are ready to stop chasing breakdowns and start scaling your career, let’s talk.
